WAIT LIST ON PAUSE

(see adoptions page)

Our kittens start getting their shots at 8 weeks old and are kept up to date. Any kittens held past 5 months old are spayed/neutered.

All future kittens will be pedigreed purebred Maine Coon kittens.

Pricing varies based on the age at sale. And there is a reason for that. The reason kittens are not to be sold before 8 weeks is that they are still dependant on the mother cat up until around that time. Once they ween off of mom and start more independence, that is the best time for them to imprint on their human.

Between 8 - 12 weeks old, kittens really begin to recognize their human handlers. And as such is a very good time to introduce to a new owner or family as they will quickly recognize and imprint with them as the primary caregiver(s). New owners are then responsible to finish vaccinations and spay/neuter at around 5 months.

In weeks 12 - 16, I generally drop the price some as by that time the kittens are generally imprinted on myself and have gotten used to my household. Price is usually lowered by half that to spay/neuter to attract sales and to compensate for the longer time for the kitten to acclimate to the new owners and environment. New owners are then responsible to finish vaccinations if not finished, and spay/neuter at around 5 months.

Weeks 16 - 20, I further drop the price by the other half of the cost to spay/neuter. By this time the kittens are fully vaccinated and very familiar with their current environment. Not to brag, but my cats are spoiled. At this age, they are very attached to me and the members of my household. Making it all that much harder for them to understand what is happening and where they are going. And I primarily base that on how much harder it is to actually send them off on a personal level.

After 20 weeks any kittens that remain are spayed/neutered, and the price goes back up to the original value to cover the cost of the spay/neuter.

Exceptions may apply.

Gendering

While we make every attempt to correctly gender each kitten before accepting reservations, occasionally we may be incorrect. In the event we are incorrect, we will contact you as soon as we are aware of our mistake to inform you of the proper gender of the kitten reserved. If requested, deposit will be returned.

The kittens in the image are 6-8 weeks old. With light coats around the anus. Darker coats are usually more difficult to determine. Especially in long hair breeds such as Maine Coons. First assumptions are based on coats, with orange being 80% male and tri-colors (tortie) are predominately female, solid colors can be tricky to determine early on.

Rest assured, by time of pick-up proper gender will be assured. (Vet checked by 6 weeks old.)
